Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan watches the Buffalo Sabres and Detroit Red Wings with some locals Tuesday.

He hasn’t been officially introduced as the Bills’ new head football coach, and Rex Ryan is covering Buffalo like a Nor’easter in December.

First he was welcomed with pizza (dressed with some odd blue spinach and icing).

Next, he attended a Sabres hockey game (because what else are you going to do in Buffalo in the winter?).

And soon he was hitting the hotspots around around Ralph Wilson Stadium and grabbing beers with one of the city’s most legendary residents.

Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly met up with the new coach at the Big Tree Inn, a famous bar near the stadium, and talked shop.

Just think of what could’ve been Atlanta …
