Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson penned a letter to the Denver Bronco's Peyton Manning amidst retirement rumors.
Speculation continues to mount that Peyton Manning will retire, especially since he and his team won Super Bowl 50 Sunday.
In his letter, titled "If This Is It," on The Players' Tribune, Wilson writes a letter thanking Manning for inspiring him as a quarterback.
Wilson attended Manning's quarterback camp when he was in the 10th grade.
"You inspired the kid in the green shirt," Wilson wrote. "You inspired me to work hard. To be disciplined. To be respectful. To take notes. You inspired me to love the process. To love the sweat. To love the tears. But most of all, you inspired me to love the game."
Despite incessant pressing by many reporters, Manning hasn't confirmed any plans to retire just yet.
"If this is it, thanks," Wilson wrote.
