Killing the innocent condemned by Islam
My thoughts and prayers go to all the victims and their families affected by the shootings in Orlando. May God bless all of them the strength to bear the loss of their loved ones.
As a Muslim, it makes me upset and angry because this barbaric attack was conducted in the name of Islam, which stands for nothing other than peace and blessings. According to the Islamic Holy Book — the Quran, God has bestowed honor on every individual, irrespective of skin color, race, religion and sexual orientation.
As Muslims, we strongly condemn this barbaric and inhumane act of terror which happened during this blessed month of Ramadan. True Muslims should be engrossed in worship and serving humanity during this blessed month in which fighting is clearly forbidden.
I will conclude by saying that, whether peace or war, killing innocent people is not only condemned in Islam, but is also clearly opposed to the teachings of Islam, which in fact means peace and security through submission to the will of God, the Lord and Creator of all human beings.

Trump doesn’t respect First Amendment
In response to a Washington Post headline that he didn’t like, Trump has banned Washington Post reporters from his future campaign events. That doesn’t sound like a favorable view on the First Amendment’s guarantee of freedom of the press. In a Trump presidency, would the other tenets of the First Amendment (freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of peaceable assembly, right to petition for governmental redress of grievances) remain guaranteed? Not likely.
