Talk about pawful: A burglary suspect has implicated his own dog in the crime, Gwinnett County police say.

A man was seen in surveillance footage walking a small dog in Kokorro Bar during the period of time multiple TVs and a cash register were stolen, according to police.

The man was first seen, sans pooch, in the building at 6:58 a.m. on May 8, “presumably to case the location,” according to police. At 10:12 p.m. that night, the suspect returns, walking the small dog around the empty Norcross restaurant. The suspect is last seen on camera at 10:41 p.m.

The man was seen “going through several items” and moving TVs, a police report says. He was described by police as having a small goatee and wearing a light-colored hoodie. The dog’s breed was not specified, but it was on a leash during the burglary, according to police.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
