Fayette County government offices set to reopen Monday

Fayette County announced Tuesday that its administrative offices will reopen to the public at 8 a.m. on May 18. Staff will work both on site and under a telework plan, although “medically fragile employees” will be required to work remotely for awhile longer.

Anyone entering county buildings will have their temperature taken by staff; those with a temperature reading of 100.4 or higher will not be allowed to enter, and will be encouraged to seek medical attention. Each department will implement social distancing measures and requests compliance in order to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The public is still asked to use remote services (such as online payments or downloading forms) whenever possible, either by phone at 770-305-5400, email or links at www.fayettecountyga.gov.
