Duluth property tax bills were mailed on Sept. 7 and payments are due to the city on or before 5 pm Thursday, Dec. 15. The back of the bill contains a glossary of terms, explanation of charges, and payment options. This information is also detailed on the city website at www.duluthga.net/departments/property_tax/index.php.

There are multiples ways to pay the property taxes including in person at City Hall using cash, money orders or checks, or by credit card at a kiosk available in City Hall. Payments may also be made after-hours by check at a drop box located on the Main Street side of City Hall. Online payments with convenience fees added: www.duluthga.net/payonline.

Escrowed tax payments paid by your mortgage company will be posted by Friday, Dec. 9. Check the status payments at duluthga.net/payonline. Questions: taxes@duluthga.net.

After Dec. 15, monthly interest charges will be assessed at a rate authorized by Georgia law and additional penalties may be assessed up to 20 percent.
