The Alpharetta City Council will hold its annual planning retreat Monday and Tuesday at the Forrest Hills Lodge in Dahlonega.

The seven council members, the city administrator and assistant administrator and the finance director will attend all sessions and stay overnight. The directors for finance, recreation and parks, public safety, community development and engineering/public works will attend during presentations concerning their departments.

Assistant Administrator James Drinkard said the total cost of the retreat is budgeted at $2,500.

On Monday the council will discuss public safety, capital projects for parks and recreation and the status of various city funds. On Tuesday, the council will discuss the North Fulton transportation plan, the comprehensive land use plan, capital projects in public works, term limits and other subjects.

The public is invited. The lodge is at 135 Forrest Hills Road in Dahlonega.
