History: Love Beyond Walls was founded by Terence and Cecilia Lester in 2004 to provide food, shelter and social services to the poor and homeless. Their focus areas are College Park, East Point and Hapeville, but people in need come from other areas of town.

Did you know: As a protective measure against COVID-19, Love Beyond Walls installed 51 portable hand-washing stations around metro Atlanta through its "Love Sinks In" campaign. Volunteers sanitize and refill the stations with water every other day. At the organization's College Park facilities, 500 to 700 families are fed each month.

Motto: Love Beyond Walls is a movement of doers.

How you can help: Financial donations are welcome and will be used to increase the number of hand-washing stations and continue providing services, such as access to technology, medical, grooming and laundry facilities. Join Love Beyond Walls' volunteer force and find fulfillment feeding the homeless, re-filling washing stations, or sharing your unique talents. Personal protective equipment is provided to all volunteers.
