We visited The Fickle Pickle and my grandson said the Tomato Basil Soup was some of the best soup he ever ate! Can you please get the recipe? — Mary Adams, Roswell

Andy Badgett, owner of The Fickle Pickle, is always generous with his recipes and this is another one he was happy to share, like the potato salad and chicken salad we’ve published previously.

It takes a little time to make but only because you gradually add ingredients to the pot until the entire soup is assembled. There’s little hands-on time and the result of this small effort is a classic tomato soup, thickened with bread like a classic gazpacho. Our batch is one-eighth the size of what Badgett makes for the restaurant.
