The Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade is at 8:15 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, and the price of admission is a lantern.

The last lantern-making workshop sponsored by the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons is Tuesday night, Sept. 6, at New Church UMC in Candler Park, but you can also learn how to make then online.

The accompanying video shows a lantern-making workshop. Parade organizer Chantelle Rytter also has a list of lantern-making resources on her website.

Last year’s parade drew about 60,000 participants and organizers expect perhaps 75,000 this year.

The parade begins on the Eastside Trail, where Krog Street Crosses the Beltline in the Old Fourth Ward. Lineup begins at 7:15 p.m.

Parking will be at a premium, so use MARTA or carpool.
