GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Chris Parker, Pickens

1. Who is/was the most influential person in your coaching career? "Coach Keith Smith in my hometown of Foley, Ala. He was one of my coaches and encouraged me to get into coaching. Still one of the men I admire most in coaching."

2. Who is the best Georgia player you ever faced? "Alec Ogletree. Played at Newnan when I was at Chapel Hill. He covered the entire field in a high school game. Nick Chubb is a close second."

3. What is the best team you ever faced as a coach? "Lowndes 2004, when I was assistant coach at Sequoyah in the state quarterfinals. They had no weaknesses. We lost by three touchdowns, and that may have been the closest game they had all year. Newnan 2008 and Northside-Warner Robins 2009 were also really good."

4. If you were Gary Phillips, the new head of the GHSA, what would be the first rule that you would try to change? "Solidify rules in spring and summer. They are not clear now, and some people are getting ahead while others are getting behind depending on how you interpret these rules. I am referring to spring vs. two scrimmages and summer contact (camps). I have no problem with any of these rules and I love the camps in the summer. I just don't think they are clear on what you can't do if you don't have spring and when is it acceptable to have a "camp" in the summer and use pads."
