"The Hangover" trilogy fans known and love actor Ken Jeong as the outrageous Leslie Chow.
In a revealing interview on Wednesday's episode of the "Dr. Oz" show, Jeong reveals that he took the role for the sweetest reason possible: to make his wife laugh after her cancer diagnosis.

Jeong, a graduate of Duke University and medical school at the University of North Carolina, initially looked askance at the goofy role, given the dire news he and his wife, Tran Ho, had just received.
"I remember, at that time, not wanting to do it… I was really angry," he said. "But it was also just to make my wife laugh."
His wife, a breast cancer survivor, is also a physician.
Jeong also is known for a slew of movies including "Pain & Gain" and "Despicable Me 2" (voice) and television projects such as "Community" and his latest, "Dr. Ken."
He appeared as a kind and wise teacher in this year's "The Duff," a teen comedy that filmed at Grady High School and other Atlanta locations. He'll appear in next year's "Ride Along 2," which also filmed in Atlanta.
"Dr. Oz" airs at 3 p.m. weekdays on Channel 2.
