‘Jumanji 2’ wraps filming in Atlanta

The sequel to 2017’s “Jumanji” reboot, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has wrapped filming in Georgia.

The California-born actor, who plays Doctor Smolder Bravestone in the movies, announced the end of “Jumanji 2” filming in the state on Instagram, giving the Georgia film crew a special shoutout for their hard work and talent.

“Once again, it’s been my pleasure to put in the work with all of you and look forward to our next adventure down the road,” he captioned a set photo.

Next up: “hot jungles,” “Icy snow capped mountains” and “blistering desert dunes.”

Unlike the original 1995 “Jumanji,” which told the story of a man — played by Robin Williams — trapped inside a jungle-themed board game, the reboot version features a group of teens trying to escape a jungle-themed video game.

The 2017 reboot filmed in Hawaii and California, and in Georgia's Atlanta Metro Studios and Westlake High School in southwest Atlanta.

“Jumanji 2” is slated for a Christmas 2019 release.
