Mobile health vehicle for Atlanta city employees unveiled

Kaiser Permanente of Georgia and the city of Atlanta recently unveiled a new mobile health vehicle whose services are now available to city employees.

Kaiser Permanente will also provide the vehicle to member employer groups in metro Atlanta and to underserved communities.

The mobile health vehicle’s features include two exam rooms and a handicap-accessible bathroom. The vehicle can accommodate primary care services such as biometric screening for blood pressure, blood sugar levels, body mass index and cholesterol levels.

The city of Atlanta covers more than 22,000 people with an annual insurance budget of about $140 million. Kaiser Permanente is one of two medical insurance plans offered to city employees.
