Halloween's right around the corner, folks, and you know what that means — pre-Halloween festivities in and around Gwinnett's cities, obviously.
Find below five can't-miss events that will get the kiddos (and their parents) in a spooky mood.
FRIDAY, OCT. 28
Lawrenceville’s “Spooktacular on the Square”
Held from 6 to 8 p.m., this event features trick-or-treating and more, with local businesses getting involved handing out Halloween treats and offering special deals.
The Aurora Theatre will also be hosting "Historic Ghost Tours," 90-minute treks through the city's most haunted locations and bizarre events. Those interested can register for tours here.
The Lawrenceville square is at 185 W. Crogan St.
Duluth’s “Howl on the Green”
From 6 to 10 p.m., Duluth’s final food truck event of the season turns into a Halloween-themed gathering. Kids activities will be held between 6 and 8 p.m. and include crafts, trick-or-treating on Main Street and a “haunted hayride.”
Live entertainment kicks off at 8:30 p.m.
The town green is at 3578 W. Lawrenceville St.

SATURDAY, OCT. 29
Suwanee’s “Trek or Treat”
Held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Suwanee Creek Park, the annual event includes festival-style games, music, contests, inflatables – and a “free hot dog lunch” (while supplies last).
Costumes aren’t required but encouraged.
Suwanee Creek Park is at 1170 Buford Highway.
Norcross’ “BooFest”
A Halloween-themed parade starts at 3 p.m. and runs between the city’s Lillian Webb and Thrasher parks.
Lillian Webb Park is located at 5 College St. NW.
Sugar Hill’s “Tales from the Cemetery”
For one night only, guests can “be guided through the cemetery by history figures with roots in Sugar Hill,” with help from members of The Players Guild at Sugar Hill.
Three back-to-back 45-minute "shows" will be offered, with the first starting at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $5 for children and $8 for adults and can be purchased here, with proceeds going to the Sugar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
