The Falcons made a limited number of divisional playoff tickets available to the general public Wednesday morning. They were gone fast.
The team did not say how many tickets were made available; season-ticket holders had until Tuesday night to exercise their option to buy playoff tickets.
The Falcons tweeted at 10:09 a.m. that there were no more tickets.
Atlanta has hosted one playoff game since its 1998 Super Bowl season, a 47-17 win over the Rams in January 2005.
Next month there could be two playoff games in the Georgia Dome.
The Falcons (12-2) already have clinched a playoff berth, and are likely to play at least one postseason game at home. They'll earn homefield advantage throughout the playoffs by beating New Orleans (10-4) Monday night or Carolina (2-12) in the regular-season finale. Both games are at home.
If the Falcons secure the No. 1 seed, they'd host a divisional playoff game the weekend of Jan. 15-16 and possibly the NFC Championship Game on Jan. 23.
On stubhub.com, sellers were offering upper end zone seats starting at $119 and lower prime seats from $400 to $1,200 for the divisional game.
