Q: Do you know of a center for recycling Styrofoam? Publix will take egg cartons, but I don’t know of any entity that accepts larger pieces of polystyrene. The only place I knew of stopped accepting it last year.

—J. Michael Roach, Vinings

A: Dart Container Corp. in Lithonia accepts all No. 6 Styrofoam materials. This includes foam cups, plates, to-go boxes and egg cartons, as well as, large packaging polystyrene, such as the Styrofoam that would surround a boxed TV. The recycling center will not accept packaging peanuts. The Dart Container recycling drop-off facility is at 6588 Marbut Road in Lithonia. For more info, go to dartcontainer.com or call 1-800-288-CARE.

Polymer Sciences Inc. also accepts all No. 6 Styrofoam materials, but no packing peanuts or any food packaging, including egg cartons. Washed out foam cups are allowed, as is large electronic packaging Styrofoam. The drop-off site is at 5800 Wheaton Drive in Atlanta. For more info, go to polymersciences.com or call 770-664-2005.
