Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard has used state civil forfeiture money, which is made up of funds seized because law enforcement thinks they are connected to drug dealing, racketeering or other crime, to purchase items not related to fighting crime. Here are some of his office's other purchases:

• Two NBA logo basketball shoe display cases - $ 190.78

• Personalized Miami Heat jersey with the words “The Man” on the back - $119.20

• Two tickets to the inauguration of Governor Nathan Deal - $100

• Catering for a 2010 retirement party for two employees - $2,800

• Photographs for those same employees - $200

• Updated digital photos of Howard - $250
