KEDPLASMA LLC, a human blood plasma collection and procurement specialist, has added a plasma collection center at 5995 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker. The location will add at least 19 jobs to its current roster of 17 full-time employees over the next 12 months, thus boosting its own employment growth by approximately 112 percent by the close of 2018.

The center along with an addition in Greenville, SC is a key milestone in a plan by KEDPLASMA parent company Kedrion Biopharma to expand its leadership position in the U.S. plasma-derived therapies space. According to the company, the number of plasma collection centers are on track to double by 2020 to a total of 30 across the U.S.

A grand opening celebration is scheduled for Nov. 6, with ribbon-cutting and visits by local officials and dignitaries.
