If going for a walk, eating a popsicle and seeing a dog do a “downward dog” yoga position all sounds good to you then you should be at Brook Run Park on Saturday.

That's where the "Strut Your Mutt" dog walk fundraiser will be held by Best Friends Animal Society, based in Smyrna, at the Dunwoody park. The organization has chapters that hold the event throughout the country.

A hundred people have said they were going to the metro Atlanta walk on the group's Facebook event.

The main attraction is the actual walk with your dog. Those strutting have two distance options, 1.07 and 1.79 miles. There'll be treat stations along the way from Nature's Variety. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 9 a.m.

If you're strutting, check out the rules online, including a two-dog maximum and the acceptable leash length.

King of Pops along with Daddy’s Girl Gourmet Dogs will have food trucks there if you work up an appetite. And until the event ends at noon, there will be plenty of activities for person and pooch alike.

There will be a meet-and-greet with adoptable dogs from 10:25 to 10:50 a.m. and therapy dog preparation training from 10:55  to 11:15 a.m. and 11:25 to 11:45 a.m.

Different pet-centric businesses will have exhibitions to show off their goods.

In addition to all that, Skechers is bringing some of their "Instagram Pets" to the event.

But don’t miss the dog yoga — or “doga” — going on throughout the day in activity tents.

There will be a shaded area and a first aid section at the event.

You can park inside the park while there are still spaces, but after head to Peachtree Charter Middle School, 4664 North Peachtree Road.
