Gas leak temporarily closes Cobb road

A broken gas main was the cause of the temporary closure of Powder Springs Street in Cobb County on Thursday morning.

A utility company that was digging in the area hit the main around 11 a.m., according to Cobb County 911. The road was closed for half an hour around the 700 block of the street.

No one was hurt in the incident, and traffic was flowing again by 11:30 a.m., Cobb dispatch said.
