Duluth is “highly encouraging” drivers to plan an alternate travel route along State Route 120 while sidewalks are being installed on the south side of S.R 120/Duluth Highway between Buford Highway and Claiborne Drive.

Construction will begin the week of Aug. 20 and is expected to take approximately six months. There will be frequent lane closures along this two-lane stretch of S.R. 120 which will significantly back up traffic.

Duluth officials ask drivers to exercise extreme patience and care as they drive this stretch of road.
