Acworth aldermen grant bids, alcohol licenses

The Acworth Board of Aldermen voted Thursday in favor of two bids and two alcohol licenses.

These actions include approval of:

up to $255,000 to Vertical Earth Inc. for the Newberry Park parking lot and grading contract to replace the present gravel lot.
the low bid of $26,075 to Day's Chevrolet for a 2500 Crew Cab Silverado for the Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department.
an alcohol privilege license for consumption on premises of beer, wine, liquor and Sunday sales for AJ's Restaurant and Bar, 3365 Acworth Oaks Drive, Suite A, Acworth.
an alcohol privilege license for consumption on premises of beer, wine, liquor and Sunday sales for Nick's Bar-B-Q, 3329 Cobb Parkway NW, Acworth.
