Residents of the broken-down Brannon Hill condo complex are working together with volunteers and neighbors this weekend to clean up their community.

Located near Memorial Drive in DeKalb County, Brannon Hill has become known for its poor conditions, including partially burned buildings, piles of tires and worn mattresses littering the streets.

A judge signed an order last week declaring common areas of the condos a public nuisance and giving the homeowners' association 30 days to address dirty areas and dangerous conditions.

The community clean-up is scheduled for Saturday starting at 10 a.m. at 1000 Old Hampton Drive near Clarkston. The event is open to the public and it’s being organized with the Brannon Hills homeowners’ association.
