Soon and very soon, your "Price is Right" dreams could come true right here in Georgia − whether that dream's an all-expenses paid trip to Galápagos Islands or a brand spanking new front-loading washer and dryer.
The live version of TV’s longest-running game show will begin at 7:30 p.m. March 26, 2019, at Fox Theatre. The touring version of the show will include prizes, a celebrity host and many games from the popular televised classic game show.
Diehard fans and those simply hoping to win big from the infamous Showcase Showdown can begin purchasing tickets Friday, Nov. 16.
Those looking to cash in on that money-making legacy in March should take note of these four things to know about becoming a contestant on the “Price is Right Live" in Atlanta.
It doesn’t cost a penny to play, but you do have to buy tickets to be an audience member.
Though those in the audience have to buy tickets, contestants do not have to purchase tickets to play. Tickets will be available at 10 a.m. Friday. Tickets are listed at $50-80 plus applicable fees.
Arrive early for consideration.
The key is arriving to the Fox for the casting call on March 26, because producers will begin registering potential contestants early on the afternoon of the recording. Producers suggest potential guests show up as early as possible to be considered. Registration closes precisely at the scheduled showtime of 7:30 p.m.
Know the registration process.
After arriving, every eligible potential contestant, ages 18 years or older, must provide their first and last name and day of birth (0-31) to producers via registration cards, which will be handed out by Fox Theatre staff. There is no ticket purchase required to register to be a contestant, and having a ticket will not be considered a factor in determining eligible contestants or in the contestant selection process.
You might not make it. Be prepared.
Only eight lucky contestants will get the chance to guess prices and win appliances, cash or even a shiny new car.
According to the "Price is Right Live" website, individuals who are not selected as contestants and do not have tickets must leave the venue after the end of the casting process. However, if you purchase tickets, you can still enjoy the show − even without the glory.
