The Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services will be hosting a community open house for the Veterans Resource Center 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28 at the Gwinnett Government Annex Building, 750 S. Perry St. Suite 300 in Lawrenceville.

The Open House is a celebration of two years of serving several hundred Gwinnett county veterans and their families.

The Gwinnett County Veterans Resource Center works to meet the various needs of Gwinnett veterans and their families by providing current information, referrals, and resources in a welcoming environment that honors their service to our country.

"If you are a veteran, family member, a veteran service agency, or have an interest in supporting our efforts, we would love for you to stop by our open house and see how you can get assistance and or get involved. Our goal is to engage the community around issues that impact our veterans and their families," says Ellen Gerstein, Executive Director of the Gwinnett Coalition.

The open house will also recognize partner agencies who are co-located at the center, including the Gwinnett Disabled American Veterans, Department of Labor, Impact Group, Salvation Army and other veteran family friendly resources.
