College Park police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who put a pregnant woman in the hospital with serious head injuries, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Video from a city camera Oct. 11 shows Angelica Green, 20, crossing Old National Highway near Godby with her boyfriend when a speeding Toyota Scion hit her and kept driving.

“I’m extremely angry that someone could hit a human being and just leave,” her mother, Jami Dogood, told Channel 2.

The crash sent Green flying about 50 feet and caused trauma to half of her body when she was about two weeks pregnant, Channel 2 reported. Doctors said she would have to learn to walk again after suffering a fractured pelvic bone and two broken legs.

No arrests have been made in the incident.
