Forsyth County deputies captured a woman and are still searching for a man in connection with reports of mail thefts from residences, an official said Friday.

Deputies began pursuing a car off McFarland Parkway after residents reported the people in the car were stealing mail, spokesman Doug Rainwater said.

The people abandoned the car in a subdivision, Rainwater said.

The search, which included a police dog, was near Mullinax Road at Union Hill Road, but authorities did not find the man.
