DeKalb County officials are hosting an online survey on hazard mitigation until Nov. 18.

Sponsors are BOLDplanning and DeKalb Emergency Management Agency.

Among the questions for DeKalb residents are which local hazards to which respondents are most and least at risk.

The named hazards are dam failures, droughts, earthquakes, extreme heat, floods, hurricanes, severe storms (including lightning, thunderstorms, hail and wind), severe winter storms, tornadoes and wildfires.

Open-ended questions include whether any other hazards should be included in the plan and which local projects can be installed to protect against weather-related disruptions such as culverts or safe rooms.
