In a Facebook post, Pedersen said the size of her ring symbolizes the story of her and her husband's whirlwind romance.

"Thirteen days after meeting, we eloped," she wrote in the February post. "I didn't even think about a ring until my husband surprised me before the ceremony. He drained his savings to gift me with a small token of his love."

Pedersen, 27, told Today.com that other women shared photos of their rings on the post, sharing their stories.

"To me, that showed a theme of physical possessions defining happiness, and a feeling of not being enough," she said. "I think a lot of women feel that."

Pedersen and her husband eloped in October 2013.

"It pales in comparison with how big his love is, even now, after years of marriage."
