Q: We moved to Cumming from central New York four years ago. I have been trying to find hot cherry peppers in glass jars. I would like to find whole peppers, not sliced or a relish. I have been to Harry’s, Publix, Ingles, Kroger, farmers markets, Sprouts, all food stores I can locate, with no luck. It appears all peppers in Georgia are jalapenos. Please help us find hot cherry peppers. They are on eBay if I want to spend $20, but that’s too pricey for me. — Steve Arbes, Cumming
A: Steve, it seems that you missed a store. I found Cento whole cherry peppers in hot or mild flavors for $4.99 for a 32-ounce glass jar and $2.99 for a 16-ounce jar. You’ll find them stocked at E. 48th Street Market, 2462 Jett Ferry Road, Dunwoody, 770-392-1499.
Q: I have been looking for raspberry jam, with the seeds, forever. I moved here from Seattle and miss it, especially on scones. I used to be able to purchase it at Rich’s in the housewares section, but it was discontinued when Macy’s took over. I even went on the Smucker’s website with no luck. Can you help? — M. Jo Albert, Riverdale
A: You’re right, that Smucker’s website isn’t much help. However, I found Smucker’s red raspberry preserves with seeds (Smucker’s jam comes seedless) not far from your neighborhood. Little Giant Farmer’s Market, 399 Upper Riverdale Road, Jonesboro, 770-996-5220, stocks Smucker’s red raspberry preserves in 18-ounce jars for $3.57.
Q: I am trying to find someone who purchases old record albums and 45s. I have several boxes of records and would like know who can I contact. Thanks. — Lee Hutson, Atlanta
A: Fantasyland Records, 360 Pharr Road, Atlanta, 404-237-3193, buys and sells new and used vinyl, ranging from classic rock to jazz. However, when it comes to used records, they must be in mint condition, or Fantasyland won’t buy them. Feel free to call and let them know exactly what records you have.
Q: Please find a hand cream for me. It is peach scented and comes in a little peach-shaped container. I can’t recall the name. Thanks for any help you can give. — Karen Wilson, email
A: Tonymoly makes a trio of whimsical, fruit-scented hand creams — peach, apple and tangerine — packaged in corresponding pots. Locally, they’re not stocked where you might think to look. You can get Tonymoly peach cream, formulated with peach and apricot extracts, for $8 at Urban Outfitters, 1061 Ponce de Leon Ave., Atlanta, 404-451-9256.
