Q: I don't know what is more fascinating to me about your column — the various exotic and not-so-exotic items people look for, or your ability to find them. Here is my sought-after item. In order to keep his Italian-American wife happy, my Scottish husband has been trying to perfect his homemade pizza since we moved to Georgia 17 years ago from my native New York. And he's come pretty close. Our dilemma is that most recipes call for double zero flour to make the perfect pizza. We can't seem to find it anywhere around here. Will you be the heroine of our quest as you are for so many others? Thanks so much. — Rosemary Stewart, Snellville

A: Thank you, Rosemary, but super powers won’t be necessary to fulfill your request. Double zero flour, produced from soft wheat, is milled to a super fine constancy resembling talcum powder, and boasts a lower gluten content than most other flours. It’s an important ingredient in creating a stellar Neapolitan pizza, but you also can use double zero for fresh pasta and in baked goods. In the Atlanta area, you can find Napoli Antimo Caputo 00 flour at E. 48th Street Market, 2462 Jett Ferry Road, Dunwoody, 770-392-1499. A 2.2-pound bag costs $2.99.

Q: Where can I find mayhaw jelly? I really would love to find some to replace the only jar I now have. Is there an outlet in the Marietta area that sells it? Thanks. — Patricia Genovese, Marietta

A: For those not familiar with this Southern treat, mayhaw jelly is made from the tart mayhaw berries that grow in bogs and the swampy wetlands of some Southern states. Georgia takes its mayhaw crop pretty seriously and each year in Colquitt, the third weekend in April is dedicated to the National Mayhaw Festival, where visitors will find plenty of the vibrant jelly. Closer to home, you can buy mayhaw jelly, and other Georgia specialty foods, at Burger’s Market, 1395 Canton Road, Marietta, 770-428-8248. An 18-ounce jar costs $6.98. While the jelly sports Burger’s label, it’s made by Hillside Orchard Farms. And for those in other parts of Atlanta who want to give mayhaw jelly a try, it’s also available at David’s Produce and Country Store, 3561 Lavista Road, Decatur, 404-325-0709. A 19-ounce jar of Hillside Orchard Farm mayhaw jelly sells for $7.49.

Q: I have been looking everywhere to find Mansize Kleenex. This product used to be available in local stores, but I haven't been able to find it for quite awhile. When I go online, I find the product available in England. Do you know if this product is still being produced in the U.S., and if there are any local stores that stock it? Thanks so much! — Dianne Lux, Snellville

A: Dianne, you’re not the only one who has been asking for these extra large (and sensible) tissues. But, until the powers that be at Kimberly-Clark decide to yank the tissues from the discontinued pile, you won’t find them locally, and I’m not sure how much longer you’ll find them online because I was told by a customer service representative at Kimberly-Clark that the company isn’t making them at all, not even for the U.K. market. So, those who really want the extra large tissues might have to go through www.amazon.com, where boxes of 100 are available for $2.76 each. And, yes, they’re shipped from the U.K.

Q: Several years ago I purchased a Hugger Mugger yoga mat with lines for proper placement of the feet. I've not seen another since, and would love to replace my worn mat. Can you shed any light on where I might find it or another similar mat? Thank you so much. — Marie Vidal, email

A: Unfortunately, Hugger Mugger no longer makes mats that are similar to the one you like so well. However, I found the Taos premium alignment yoga mat by Gaiam, which has decorative lines that help with feet and hand placement. It’s available at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 120 Perimeter Center West, Atlanta, 770-396-1200. The mat is priced at $29.99.
