Harrington told Lehighvalleylive.com that it has been 13 years since the family has had any bear sightings on their property.

The Aug. 23 visit by a mother bear and her two cubs made up for it, as the cubs try to climb atop the hammock, with limited success.

After a few minutes, the family shooed the bears away when it appeared the mother bear might get her head caught in the hammock’s netting.

It's been a summer of fun for bears. A family of bears taking a dip in a family's backyard pool went viral last month.
