With restaurants barred from dine-in service and various gathering spots shuttered in Atlanta and the metro area because amid Gov. Brian Kemp's shelter in place order, it may be hard to think of things to do this weekend.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t find ways to make the most of your two days off.

Huff Post U.K. offered a list of things to do to maximize time this weekend. Here's a list of what you can do to occupy your time while keeping your distance from others.

Get active

There are lots of ways to get moving indoors — no gym equipment necessary. Planks, squats and wall sits are all workouts you can do at home. Keep an eye out for livestreams of fitness classes and use YouTube to get ideas for at-home workouts.

Have a night in with pals

It's not advisable that people visit friends in person, but that doesn't mean you can't create a similar environment virtually. Video chat platforms like Zoom and FaceTime make it feel as if your pals are with you while you grab a snack and sip your favorite drink. It's almost like you went out after a full week of work.

Whip up a meal

Being at home means there's less of an excuse not to cook. Take the weekend to look through your pantry and see what you can make with staples you already have. Find some tips on how to step up your cooking game in the process. You can even make these easy pantry-ready recipes to have prepared for the week.

Binge watch with friends

No, you can't catch a movie at the theater, but you can recreate the experience with your closest friends. Netflix Party is an extension on Google Chome that allows people to watch the same movie simultaneously. A chat function allows buddies to discuss what they're seeing during the movie, too, so you don't have to worry about getting shushed like you would at the cinema.

Separate home from work

One of the last things most people want to do is work on the weekend, so why make it feel as if you are? Clear your work space by packing away your laptop and other work-related documents. That way, you'll make your house feel like home and not the office. When Monday rolls around, you can set up your work space again.
