Where can I find it?

Q: Help! Ziploc used to make the most perfect product called Perfect Portions. They were 7-3/4 inches by 11-1/4 inches portioning bags. When opening a large container of chicken, you could use the bag to pick up the product and put them into larger freezer bags, not getting your hands dirty. I believe Ziploc has discontinued this wonderful product. Do you have any idea where I might be able to purchase these, or something similar? Thank you! Jackie Bell, Big Canoe

A: Jackie, I found that others also missed these handy bags, and someone suggested bags from Amazon called Get Reddi Inteplast Group IBS PB060312 food and utility poly bags. The 2-quart bags have received favorable reviews as ideal substitutes for the discontinued Ziploc Perfect Portions. Even better, you get 1,000 bags for $13.56. These measure 6 inches by 12 inches. There are a couple of sellers on Amazon who have the original Ziploc Perfect Portions for sale, but at nearly $40 for a box of 75 bags, I think you'll find the Get Reddi bags a far better deal.

Q: I love sampling all types of potato chips. Recently, a friend returned from a trip to England and brought back a really tasty snack called KP Hula Hoops salt-and-vinegar flavor. Boy, were those good. They weren’t really chips, they were like wide rings, which made them super crunchy. Is there a place in Atlanta that carries these? T. Williams, email

A: Hula Hoops are crisp potato-flavored rings that you can slip on your fingers then bite them off, according to the folks at Taste of Britain, 73 S Peachtree St., Norcross, 770-242-8585. They somewhat resemble fried calamari rings. The store carries a variety of snacks from the U.K., including Hula Hoops in various flavors. Hula Hoops contain no MSG, artificial flavors or colors. Each bag of salt-and-vinegar Hula Hoops costs $1.20.

Q: I love HP sauce that comes in a tall bottle like steak sauce. It’s great on burgers and eggs, but I have the hardest time finding it in my local grocery stores, and I don’t want to mail order it. I sure wish you could find it for me anywhere around Cartersville. Thank you very much. N. Johnson, email

A: Original HP sauce (Houses of Parliament) is flavored with malt vinegar, tomatoes, dates and tamarind. The good news for you is that it's easily available at Cost Plus World Market, 840 Ernest W Barrett Parkway, Kennesaw, 770-794-4777. You'll find the 8.99-ounce bottle with the blue-and-red label boasting Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament for $4.99.

Q: I’m pretty good about applying sunscreen to my face, but it’s difficult to reapply it during the day when I have makeup on. I work outside a lot, and I’m aware that after a few hours my sunscreen is no longer working. I read about a light spray that you can apply over your makeup throughout the day. I would love to find this, but I lost the magazine. I think the name is something like Kate, but that’s all I can remember. If you can find this for me I’d be so grateful. I’ll order it online if I have to. Thank you. Linda Price, email
