For the shopaholic in all of us, it's nice to be valued by a company for our consistent shopping. If you are tired of shelling out the big bucks for your trendy fashion then look to the store you frequent to see if it has loyalty or rewards programs. Your wallet and your closet will thank you.
As one of the biggest shoe retailers in the country, DSW has quite a comprehensive rewards program. After signing up for the free program, every dollar you spend earns you 10 reward points. Every 1,500 points earns you a $10 certificate to use on your next pair of shoes. After buying a pair or two of shoes, points can easily rack up to get the reward. Shipping is free when shopping on the website, and twice a year there are double-point days where shoppers can rack up twice the points on purchases. If you want this every day, then you can apply for their DSW Rewards Visa card and enjoy the double points that way.
If you are an extreme shoe lover and accumulate 6,000 points a year, you'll be part of the DSW Rewards Premier program. As a Premier recipient, you get 15 points for every dollar you spend or 25 points for every dollar if you have the DSW Visa card. You also get free next-day shipping and access to triple-point shopping events.
If you love shoes and want to get the most bang for your buck, those $10 certificates go a long way. From back-to-school shopping for the kids or cute pumps for a night out, the DSW rewards program has you covered, or at least your feet will be.
For the more high-brow taste, the Nordstrom Rewards program allows you to gain points at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack and Hautelook. The Nordstrom Rewards program earns you a point for every dollar you spend, and there are bonus points days as well.
For every 2,000 points you accumulate, you get a $20 "Nordstrom Note" to spend on whatever your heart desires. If you are a Nordstrom debit or credit card holder, you get double the points for every dollar you spend, triple-point days, early access to shopping events, reimbursement for alterations and access to private shopping parties.
JC Penney has a similar rewards program as DSW and Nordstrom by earning points for every dollar spent and bonus shopping points. Members are eligible for birthday gifts, special offers and coupons throughout the year. Considering JC Penney is at a much lower price point than Nordstrom, the program is a better deal with a much lower threshold to reach.
