What is it?

Electrolux Ergorapido Lithium Ion Brushroll Clean Xtra cordless stick vacuum.

Why do I need it?

Do you really want to drag out a full-size vacuum cleaner several times a day for those pesky small jobs? I didn't think so.

There are plenty of stick vacuums on the market, so it's not unreasonable to wonder what sets the Ergorapido Lithium Ion apart from the rest of the cordless stick crowd.

I asked and Jillian Hillard, director of brand marketing for Electrolux, answered.

"The Ergorapido has a two-in-one design, with an integrated hand vacuum that detaches instantly from the stick vac to reach above the floors or into tight corners. This two-in-one design, along with our patented Brushroll Clean Technology that removes undesirable tangles from the brushroll with the touch of a button, are two stand-out features that make the Ergorapido Lithium Ion Brushroll Clean Xtra unique," she said.

While the Ergorapido has been around for several years, and is singled out as one of the company's best selling vacuum designs, the popular stick vac hasn't been resting on its laurels.

The lipstick-red edition still features the handy, easy to clean dust bin, and the 180-degree EasySteer allows it to glide effortlessly around corners. The best and newest feature, however, is one you can't see.

"Over the years our design team has continually updated this high-quality stick vacuum with new innovations. The Ergorapido Lithium Ion Brushroll Clean Xtra is the first model to have a powerful 14.4 volt lithium ion battery, which recharges four times faster when compared to Ergorapido models with a nickel-metal hydride battery, and can run for 30 minutes," Hillard said.
