RootsTech is one of the largest genealogy events in the country.

Held in Salt Lake City on Feb. 28 to March 3 this year, the event is over. But there will be a recap of many important lectures on June 9 at the Church of Latter-day Saints in Roswell at 500 Norcross St. The RootsTech Family History Conference will present the latest news and actual video classes from the 2018 event, including: “Advancing Your Genealogy Research with DNA,” “Hidden Treasures in the Library of Congress,” “Finding Elusive Records at FamilySearch,” and “Online Genealogy for Beginners and Beyond.” There also will be classes for beginners.

This is a free event and will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. No registration is required. For more information, call Linda at 404-805-7739 or email ga_roswell@ldsmail.net. Check rootstech.org to learn more or plan for next year’s event, scheduled for Feb. 27-March 2 in Salt Lake City.

This Family History Center is the monthly meeting place for the Genealogical Computer Society of Georgia. It hosts speakers on various topics, not just on computers, and can help if you have a problem with your genealogy computer program. See gencomputer.org for upcoming speakers.
