The Atlanta Journal-Constitution calendar is a self-service operation. You can post your event in your own words and can make any changes at any time. To post your event:
1. Go to accessatlanta.com/getstarted and click on "register with us."
2. Fill out the registration form. When you are done, you will be taken to the home page.
3. Click on “add a listing” in the upper right. Click on “find your event” to see if it is already in the system. If it is not, create your event, using the form provided.
You will receive email notification when your event is approved. All approved events will be posted online at accessAtlanta.com. For print calendars, events are used at the discretion of the editors and as space allows.
Boy Choir concert: Peachtree Road United Methodist Church will host the grand finale of the Georgia Boy Choir Festival, featuring all five choirs of the Georgia Boy Choir, along with the Newark Boys Chorus from Newark, N.J., and the Florida Boys Choir, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. Stage play: Grant Wiggins is in love with a beautiful mulatto woman named Vivian and does not want any part of the situation he has been brought into. In the play "A Lesson Before Dying," witness a story of justice, love and dignity on stage. Lenten presentation: Join St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church for a Lenten presentation called "Anglo-Saxon Christianity and the Genesis of Tolkien's Middle-earth" at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4. The presentation will examine the relationship between the mythology of Middle-earth and early Anglo-Saxon religious texts, in particular Caedmon's hymn and the poems "Exodus" and "Dream of the Rood." The talk will focus on the parallels between J.R.R. Tolkien's tales and how these early texts reveal the Christian concepts underlying "The Silmarillion" and "The Lord of the Rings." Faith, refined: For three Tuesdays — March 3, 10 and 17 — from 7-8:30 p.m., join Emory Presbyterian Church for lessons in the crucible of suffering, loss and the rebirth in hope called "Through the Shadowlands: C.S. Relationship conference: Trinity Chapel will host a two-day conference led by psychologist and author Dr. Kevin Leman on marriage, parenting and relationships. Leman will provide easy techniques, tips and clear insight to help people strengthen their relationships. The event will be held Sunday, March 8, to Monday, March 9, with varying morning and evening sessions. Open to all; conference tickets are available for $10. Ed Gerhard concert: The Six String Social Club will present an evening concert with Grammy Award-winning guitarist Ed Gerhard at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 14.
