Tom Cat, a 3-year-old neutered domestic shorthair mix, is a gorgeous, sweet tabby-and-white boy who enjoys giving head butts. Tom Cat was an outdoor kitty and someone took pity on him, brought him inside, and showed him how much better life would be for him as an indoor cat. Unfortunately, his owners became ill and could not keep him. He is a hardy boy. Tom Cat needs a good scratching post to keep his claws in top shape. Your veterinarian can show you how to trim the claws regularly to cut down on inappropriate scratching. Scratching is natural for cats, so keeping their claws short and giving them appropriate places to scratch is helping to fulfill their needs. Tom Cat appears agreeable with other cats and dogs. He’s an easygoing, laid-back kinda guy who enjoys perching up high, lying in patches of sunlight, playing with toys, and enjoying a good meal. If you are in search of an affectionate, capable kitty to hang with you, Tom Cat may be your guy. Tom Cat has been microchipped and dewormed. He will be available at 2 p.m. today at the Atlanta Humane Society Howell Mill Campus, 981 Howell Mill Road N.W. Sealed bids will be accepted starting at 10 a.m. if more than one party is interested. Please note that the highest bidder must meet adoption qualifications. Look at all our available pets at www.atlantahumane.org.
