Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai is scheduled to speak at Ebenezer Baptist Church on Sept. 3.

Information about her appearance at the Auburn Avenue church once co-pastored by another Nobel laureate, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., was posted on Facebook, but has since been taken down.

The designation is the highest United Nations honor given to a civilian.

Yousafzai received the Nobel Prize medal and diploma in December 2014 during the Nobel Peace Prize Award ceremony in Oslo.

Yousafzai is recognized for her efforts to help Pakistani girls get an education.

She is known as the schoolgirl who stood up to the Taliban. In 2012, Yousafzai was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman, but survived.
