If you’re staving off boredom with board games amid the coronavirus outbreak, there’s a local-inspired game that you may want to add to your rotation for game nights.

Cummingopoly, is a localized version of Monopoly, inspired by the Forsyth County city Cumming, which showed up on the shelves of local Walmarts a couple months ago.

Amid shelter-in-place, it's been a big seller, according to reporting from 11Alive.

The game is manufactured by a company in Ohio that makes various versions of Monopoly for cities across the country.

"The concept of the gameplay (for Monopoly) became public domain in the early '80s. As long as you stay away from the trademark material within the original game of Monopoly, you can make your own game ... That's the main thing, and that's what we've done," Michael Schulte, marketing manager for Late For The Sky Production Co. told 11Alive.

Shulte said the company has seen a big boost in interest for their board games and puzzles while people are staying at home.

Local Atlanta stores have also seen an uptick in interest. Like Kazoo Toys in Buckhead, which started offering delivery of games and toys.

"It's always fun to have something new, and we're confident that we're picking out something good. The kids love having something show up at the house; it breaks the boredom," Whitney Novak, who owns the store with her husband, told the AJC.
