The show is set to go on live and in person at Lips Atlanta next month.

After temporarily closing because of the coronavirus pandemic in March, the Buford Highway drag dining club is opening its doors to the public again July 9.

The dinner theater, which touts itself at as “the ultimate in drag dining,” officially announced the news Saturday on Facebook.

“BIG NEWS! We’re BACK!” the post began before adding, “100% of sales of this over-the-top celebration is given directly to our staff!”

In addition to the show, in-person brunch is returning through the weekend of July 9–12.

“We practice FABULOUS social distancing — give us a call for show information, and more!” Lips said.

Guests can make reservations by calling (404) 315-7711.

Before reopening, the restaurant set up a GoFundMe so usual patrons could support the staff amid the pandemic.

“Lips has been spreading joy and happiness for over 20 years thanks to all for your support,” the fundraiser read. “The impact on our staff and their families has been crushing as their rent, insurance, and the simple daily costs of living continue without income.”

In May, Lips Atlanta streamed its most popular show, the Dragalicious Gospel Brunch, on Facebook. Following the broadcast, the dinner theater announced it would resume  in-person shows July 9.

“Your generosity was a much needed and appreciated gift for the Ladies,” organizers said. “Thank you for watching the show, for sharing it with others, and for your financial support during this down time.”
