It used to be called the "Old Country," but Busch Gardens Williamsburg is coming under fire after a visitor said he was turned away from the theme park because of his kilt.
Hex Nottingham went to Facebook to tell his friends that the park would not allow him into the park's Howl-O-Scream event recently, WAVY reported.
The video has been watched more than 50,000 times and shared more than 1,000.
He claims that park employees denied him access because they considered the kilt a costume and that costumes are not permitted during Busch Gardens' Halloween event.
Nottingham told WAVY that it is not a costume, and that he wears his kilt on any given day, on trips to the grocery store and has moved the grass in one.
The park responded to Nottingham's requests reiterating the policy of no costumes citing guest and performer safety.
Nottingham said he will not return to the park as long as kilts are banned.
