Salvation Army officials said two gold coins dropped into the red kettles at two Florida Walmart stores will help feed 1,600 people.
Officials said they don't know who donated the gold pesos, estimated to be worth nearly $3,000.
The first one was found last week wrapped inside a dollar bill.
The second coin was pulled out of one of Salvation Army's buckets over the weekend.
"From the bottom of our hearts, thank you very much to make the Salvation Army a success in this season," said Salvation Army Area Commander Maj. Luis Viera.
Each coin was found at a different Walmart in Pompano Beach.
