Starbucks is shaking up its menu options for summer.
Returning to the menu as of April 30 are three Frappuccino favorites: S’mores, Mocha Cookie Crumble and Caramel Ribbon Crunch.
Inspired by our favorite campfire treat, the S’Mores Frappucino starts with marshmallowy whipped cream and milk chocolate sauce, then adds a blend of coffee, milk and ice. It’s finished off with more marshmallowy whipped cream and a graham cracker crumble.
A grande (16 ounces) with 2% milk has 480 calories, 19g of fat, 70mg cholesterol, 73g carbs and 67g of sugar. It also has 5g of protein and 75mg of caffeine.
The Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappucino pours a blend of coffee, milk and ice atop whipped cream and chocolate cookie crumble. The whole thing is topped with a blend of rich mocha sauce and Frappuccino chips.
A grande with 2% milk packs 490 calories, 22g of fat, 55mg cholesterol, 69g carbs and 63g of sugar. It also has 6g of protein and 95mg of caffeine.
Starbucks describes its Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappucino as “buttery dark caramel sauce blended with coffee, milk and ice, on top of whipped cream and dark caramel sauce then topped with another layer of dark caramel sauce, whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and crunchy caramel sugar topping.”
A grande with 2% milk has 430 calories, 13g of fat, 65 mg cholesterol and 58g carbs and 54g of sugar. It has 6g of protein, but no caffeine.
If you’re watching your calories and sugar, try one of Starbucks’ new dragonfruit drinks.
The Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refreshers is a combination of sweet mango and dragonfruit flavors, hand shaken with ice and a scoop of real diced dragonfruit.
A grande is only 90 calories, with no fat, no cholesterol, 21g carbs and 19g of sugar. It has no protein, but does come with 45-55mg of caffeine.
Add creamy coconut milk to that, and you get the Dragon Drink. A grande Dragon Drink has 130 calories, 3g of fat, no cholesterol, 26g carbs and 23g of sugar. The coconut milk gives it 1g of protein, but the caffeine amount stays the same at 45-55 mg.
There will be two new food items on the menu, too.
The Crispy Grilled Cheese Sandwich is a blend of white cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on sourdough bread, topped with a Parmesan butter spread.
The sandwich comes in at 540 calories, 29g of fat, 75mg cholesterol, 47g carbs and 21g of protein. Although it has on 1g of sugar, each serving contains 1,060mg of sodium, which is almost half your daily allowance.
You can also get the Baja Black Bean Veggie Wrap. Inside a spinach tortilla wrap are seasoned black beans, salsa slaw and crunchy mixed veggies, with jalapeño cream-cheese spread.
Each wrap has 570 calories, 22g of fat, 40mg of cholesterol, 73g carbs and 21g of protein. It also has 5g of sugar and 1,300mg of sodium (54% of your daily allowance, based on a 2,000 calorie diet).
