Online magazine Ozy has launched a series on Atlanta culture called Dirty South that explores the culture that keeps Atlanta lit.

The series debuted earlier this week with a profile of Miya Bailey, a pioneering black tattoo artist, and owner of Atlanta tattoo parlor, City of Ink.

The second part of the series connects us with Atlants music producer, SauceLord Rich, of the production team FKi, featuring Trocon Markous "FKi 1st" Roberts Jr. and Steven "SauceLord Rich" Bolden.

The team has worked with artists including 2 Chainz, Diplo, Post Malone, Travis Porter, Tyga and Iggy Azalea, and has played a role in putting Atlanta rap on the map.

Answering the question “why doesn’t Atlanta get credit for music like New York or L.A.?” the sauce man says “There’s too much warring within ourselves here.”

The future of Atlanta rap? “We’re going to go back to lyricism. People really want to hear what people have to say.”

The series continues today with Kristo Willson, Native American owner of hair salon, Melrose & McQueen, which is adorned floor to ceiling in work by Atlanta artists.
