The fate of the Peach Drop has been hanging in the balance for weeks, but a spokesperson for the Mayor’s office confirms that it will take place on New Year’s Eve 2016.

The event may happen one last time at Underground Atlanta thanks to the outcry from locals who were disappointed to see the long-held tradition disappear, but the city has not released any further details.

At least there is no question about when it will take place. Stay tuned for more information.
