Public speaking: Author, priest and professor Lauren Winner will be the distinguished guest speaker for the 2017 Annual Women's Forum, an event sponsored by Candler's Women, Theology and Ministry program. Winner will speak on Cardigan Sweaters, Magnolia Trees and Brioche: Overlooked Biblical Metaphors for God. She is the daughter of a Jewish father and a Southern Baptist mother; she was raised Jewish, then converted to Christianity and was baptized into the Anglican Church as an adult.
