Courtney Barnes, of Jackson, Mississippi, is a bona-fide web sensation. A local TV station's interview with the expressive, green-haired Barnes quickly racked up millions of online page views.

It turns out, Barnes has competed on past seasons of “So You Think You Can Dance.”

But his latest 15 minutes of fame were interrupted by law enforcement. He turned himself into police Thursday on theft charges.

Barnes is just the latest star in a string of flamboyant interviews that have rocketed their subjects to semi-celebrity status, albeit just for a short while.

Remember Antoine Dodson?

Dodson is the Alabama native who turned an interview about the attempted rape of his sister into a hit song with the unforgettable lyrics,

"Hide your kids, hide your wife, hide your husband, cause they're raping everybody up in here."

"The Bed Intruder Song" actually made it onto the Billboard Hot 100.

After the video went viral in 2010, Dodson announced he was giving up his homosexual lifestyle. Last year, he announced the birth of his first child.
